Todo o nada

This selection of sculptural objects and drawings by Renata Schussheim revolves around a recurring "swimmer" as the protagonist, navigating various states of uncertainty and hope. These creations explore an emotional and symbolic journey, where the figure of the swimmer becomes a central thread in her artistic narrative.

The images intertwine with fictional characters, merge into the night, and discover their own luminosity. Created during the pandemic, they reveal an intimate universe and the determination to rise above. Their unique interplay of light and shadow emphasizes both vulnerability and resilience.

Her work spans diverse formats: drawing, sculpture, costume and graphic design, photographic art, performance, and immersive installations. Moving between her dreamlike and psychological world, it draws from classical references and icons of popular culture, blending them with elements of celebrity and theatrical allure.
